This “chkdsk” command does not restore files, but it fix several SD card errors such as ‘SD Card is Damaged. Try Reformatting it’, ‘folder is empty’, ‘Blank SD Card or Has Unsupported File System’, unreadable SD card, etc and makes it workable again.

• Connect SD card to your PC with the help of card reader.
• On your PC, click Start, type “cmd” in search bar and hit ENTER.
• A new command prompt window will get open. Type "chkdsk /X /f sd card letter:" or "chkdsk sd card letter: /f ", for example,"chkdsk /X /f G:" or "chkdsk G: /f" (where G: is the sd card letter name).

After this, Windows will look for errors and corruption and will fix it. Once, the damaged SD card is fixed, you can then access your files stored within the SD memory card.
